BECOMING A ROCKASKIN ARTIST / SUBMITTING A DESIGN

How do I become a RockaSkin artist?
Anyone with basic PhotoShop skills, and a design that is so stylish it will magnetically attract eyeballs can become a RockaSkin Artist. Go to the ARTISTS page for all the good info and the Artist Submission Kit.

How are the artists compensated for their work?
Cash! Artists receive a royalty equal to 15% of the sales on their skins (well above industry standards). Not to mention international exposure for you and your design(s).

Do I need to submit high resolution images to be considered?
Artwork must be at least 300 DPI, submitted in a psd file using the templates provided in the Artist Submission Kit. Please see the ARTISTS page for more info.

How many designs can I submit?
Each artist can have up to 3 designs in the "Rate Designs" section at any given time. After 30-60 days, your design(s) will either go into production or be declined. At that point you can submit more designs.

The web preview template has a lot of layers, where do I place my design within the template layers?
Any "user created artwork" for the web previews templates go in the layer folders that are highlighted with green (they should be empty to begin with).

What if my Design gets rejected?
To have the best possible chance at having your design accepted, read Reason for Decline.pdf to avoid the most common mistakes made when submitting.

Also, look at the comments other designs are receiving and try to encorporate feedback into your designs. The community can be tough love!

If my design is accepted, can I retain ownership of my design?
Yes! RockaSkin is an artist friendly and artist driven company that allows Artists to retain ownership to all their designs.
